Pricing FAQ
What is EDR, and how is it different from antivirus?
Antivirus mainly looks for known bad files. Endpoint detection and response (EDR) continuously watches what’s happening on each computer — which programs run, what they change, and how they behave — so it can spot and stop attacks that have never been seen before, including many types of ransomware. It also keeps a record of activity, so if something does happen, we can see exactly what occurred.
What counts as a “device”?
A device is any computer or server with our protection installed — typically desktops, laptops, and servers.
What’s the difference between the plans, in plain terms?
All plans include the same core EDR protection. Essential relies on automated detection and a monthly report. Business adds trained analysts watching your devices during the workweek. Total 24/7 adds round-the-clock live monitoring — including nights and weekends, when many attacks happen — plus weekly reports.
Will this help with my cyber insurance application?
Many cyber insurance applications now ask whether you use EDR and whether it’s monitored. Cyrenix gives you both, along with reports that document your protection. Each insurer sets its own requirements and makes its own decisions, so we recommend sharing your plan details with your agent or broker — and we’re happy to help answer their questions.
Do I need my own IT person to use Cyrenix?
No. We handle the setup and the security monitoring. If you already work with an IT provider, we’ll coordinate with them so nothing falls through the cracks.
Will it slow down our computers?
The EDR software is designed to run quietly in the background with minimal impact on everyday work. Most people won’t notice it’s there.
